SECURITY BACKUP POWER
Keep your security running when the power is not.
S2 Tech designs and maintains backup power for security systems — alarms, CCTV, network equipment, access control and gates — sized to the actual loads that matter during outages.

The outcome you are buying
Outages stop being a security event: detection, visibility and controlled entry continue operating.
The problems this solves
Cameras die with the lights
Recorders and cameras on mains-only power create blind windows during outages.
Gates and access stuck
Without power, automated access fails exactly when security matters.
Network drops kill remote view
PoE switches and routers without backup disconnect monitoring and apps.
Batteries that fail silently
Backup batteries degrade invisibly until the outage proves it.
How it works in practice
Identify
Critical security loads are identified per site.
Size
Backup capacity is matched to those loads — no guesswork guarantees.
Deploy
UPS/battery systems are installed into the security infrastructure.
Maintain
Batteries and charging are tested on a schedule.

- Load prioritisation
- Battery health
- Maintenance
Getting started
- Step 01
Assess
Security loads, priorities and outage profile are established.
- Step 02
Size
Backup capacity is calculated from actual loads.
- Step 03
Install
UPS/battery infrastructure is deployed cleanly.
- Step 04
Test
Changeover and runtime behaviour are verified.
- Step 05
Maintain
Batteries are tested and replaced on schedule.

Common questions
How long will my security run during an outage?
That depends on your actual loads and battery capacity — which is why we calculate from your equipment rather than quote generic figures. Expectations are agreed during design.
Which systems should get backup first?
Typically detection, recording and critical access points — the layers whose loss creates immediate gaps. Prioritisation is part of the assessment.
My batteries were replaced recently but fail early — why?
Charging faults, heat and incorrect sizing shorten battery life. Maintenance tests the whole chain, not just the battery.
Is this a full solar/inverter installation?
We focus on security-system continuity — backing up the loads that protect you. Whole-property power is a separate engineering conversation.
